We are part of the Valle de Guadalupe community that want to preserve our natural resources. We work to take care of the environment.
Water is the single most scares and valuable commodity challenging the Valle Guadalupe today. In conjunction with UABC ( University of Ensenada) developed technologies we commissioned a state of the art Ozone generator that converts O2 to O3 and cleans our grey waste water to almost potable levels. We have installed a dedicated treatment plant, storage and distribution systems.. We use this water to irrigate our extensive landscaping. Thus our sink, shower, laundry, and kitchen water is captured and recycled We are utilizing the exact same system that UABC uses to clean their grey water.
The Palazzo architecture was designed as a Italian center courtyard concept. In our center we have developed a large rainwater pool and the rain from our rooftop along with rain from the sky are recaptured and diverted to our underground water vault. In addition we have many rainwater catchments connections attached to our rain gutters We estimate that with these two programs in place we are recirculating 78% of our water .
We have been extremely careful to purchase only low water load appliances such as our washing machine's and toilets such as our ecological urinals that save 40,000 gallons a year.
We also utilize secondary water purification to further purify any and all water used for drinking or cooking of our already potable natural water.
Our goal is to ultimately be completely off the grid and to this effort we utilize extensively Solar panels.
Our Wind propeller generator is a first of its kind in the Valle Guadalupe and provides supplemental electricity to our Grey water treatment plant.
We use battery operated tools /machines and avoid fossil fuel consumption whenever possible for our estate maintenance.
We have installed a 220 v charger that can charge most electrical cars in a little over 4 hours.
Many of our doors and windows were purchased second hand and painstakingly restored to as new condition by our skilled craftsmen. The process of restoration was both time consuming and costly with the final outcome costing more than new doors and windows.
We believe that this type of recycling will become more and more of a trend as our planet continues to loose large portions of its lumber producing forests.
First our incredible Nebbiolo is produced proudly from our 100% organic vineyard.
